Description

Rich, creamy, and indulgently smooth—these salted caramel fudge truffles are the ultimate sweet treat. Coated in chocolate and finished with a touch of sea salt or crunchy nuts, they’re perfect for holidays, gifts, or satisfying your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 60 g (¼ cup) unsalted butter

  • 240 ml (1 cup) sweetened condensed milk

  • 90 g (½ cup) brown sugar

  • 150 g (1 cup) white chocolate, chopped

  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

  • 300 g (2 cups) dark or milk chocolate, for coating

  • Crushed peanuts or hazelnuts (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  • In a saucepan over low heat, combine butter, condensed milk, and brown sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

  • Increase to medium heat and simmer for 5–6 minutes, stirring constantly, until the caramel thickens and turns golden.

  • Remove from heat and stir in chopped white chocolate and sea salt until smooth and fully melted.

  • Pour the mixture into a parchment-lined dish and refrigerate for 3–4 hours, or until firm.

  • Once chilled, let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes, then scoop and roll into bite-sized balls.

  • Melt dark or milk chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave.

  • Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off. Place on parchment paper.

  • Optionally, sprinkle crushed nuts on top. Refrigerate until the chocolate is set.

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

Let the caramel mixture cool fully before shaping to avoid stickiness.

Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor and smoother coating.

For extra flair, drizzle with white chocolate or top with flaky sea salt.

These truffles make great gifts and keep well refrigerated for up to 2 weeks
