Description

A vibrant sweet‑smoky‑spicy salsa featuring juicy pineapple and smoky chipotle peppers—perfect as a dip, taco topper, or accompaniment to grilled meats and seafood.

Ingredients

(Yields ~2 cups / 8 servings)

  • 7 oz can chipotle peppers in adobo, minced

  • 20 oz crushed pineapple, drained

  • (Optional enhancements from common recipes for balance:)

    • ½ cup diced red onion

    • ½ cup diced red bell pepper

    • 2 Tbsp lime juice

    • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro

    • 1 Tbsp honey (or sugar)

    • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine minced chipotle peppers and crushed pineapple.

  • If using, stir in red onion, bell pepper, cilantro, lime juice, and honey.

  • Season with salt and pepper; mix thoroughly.

  • Chill in the fridge for at least 10 minutes to let flavors meld before serving.

Notes

Adjust chipotle quantity based on your heat preference.

The salsa tastes better after resting in the fridge for a few hours.

For deeper flavor, substitute fresh grilled pineapple and bell pepper for a charred twist—broil or grill before dicing.
