Instructions

In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

Add grated garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.

Stir in Italian seasoning.

Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.

Reduce heat to low and slowly whisk in the warmed half-and-half or heavy cream.

Cook, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens slightly, about 3–5 minutes.

Use freshly grated garlic for the best flavor.
Warm the cream beforehand to prevent curdling.
