Description
This sweet and tangy grilled pineapple is caramelized with brown sugar, butter, and a splash of fresh lime juice. It’s the perfect summer side dish, dessert, or BBQ topper—juicy, slightly smoky, and irresistibly tropical. Ready in minutes and totally crowd-pleasing!
Ingredients
-
1 large, fresh pineapple (peeled, cored, and sliced into rings or spears)
-
2 tablespoons brown sugar
-
Juice of 2 limes
-
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
-
Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates.
-
Prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and lime juice until combined.
-
Brush the pineapple: Coat each pineapple slice or spear generously with the glaze.
-
Grill the pineapple: Place pineapple directly on the grill. Cook for about 3–4 minutes per side, or until grill marks appear and pineapple is caramelized.
-
Serve: Remove from the grill and serve warm. Optionally garnish with extra lime zest or fresh mint.
Notes
Can also be made using a grill pan or broiler if an outdoor grill isn’t available.
For a spicy kick, add a pinch of chili powder to the glaze.
