Description

Recreate the creamy, zesty, and slightly spicy guacamole from Chipotle right in your kitchen. This copycat recipe combines ripe Hass avocados with fresh lime juice, cilantro, red onion, jalapeño, and kosher salt for a flavor-packed dip.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe Hass avocados

  • 1/3 red onion, finely chopped

  • 1 jalapeño, seeds and membranes removed, finely chopped

  • 1 lime, juiced

  • 1 large handful of cilantro, chopped

  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.

  • Add lime juice and salt to the bowl. Mash the mixture with a fork or potato masher until you reach your desired consistency.

  • Fold in the chopped red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro. Mix well.

  • Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt or lime juice if needed.

  • Serve immediately with tortilla chips, tacos, or as a topping for your favorite dishes

Notes

For a spicier guacamole, include some of the jalapeño seeds.

To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before refrigerating.

This guacamole pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, burritos, or as a dip for vegetables
