Description

This Chicken Alfredo Tater Tot Casserole is the ultimate comfort food mashup! Tender shredded chicken and sweet peas are enveloped in a creamy Alfredo and sour cream sauce, then topped with crispy golden tater tots and melted mozzarella cheese. It’s hearty, family-friendly, and incredibly easy to throw together for a cozy weeknight dinner or potluck favorite.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken

  • 1 (15 oz) jar Alfredo sauce

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup frozen peas

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, sour cream, frozen peas, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.

  • Spread the chicken mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer over the chicken mixture.

  • Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.

  • Remove from oven, sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top, and return to oven for 5–7 more minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

 

  • Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Rotisserie chicken works great for this recipe and saves time.

You can substitute the peas with broccoli or spinach for a twist.

Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
