Description

This Cheddar and Bacon Turkey Melt is the ultimate comfort sandwich. Made with crusty sourdough bread, savory turkey, crispy bacon, sharp white cheddar, fresh tomato, and baby spinach, it’s all tied together with tangy honey mustard and perfectly grilled for a golden, melty finish. Perfect for a hearty lunch or quick dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices sourdough or thick, crusty bread

  • 2 tablespoons honey mustard

  • 2 slices white cheddar cheese

  • 4 slices deli turkey

  • Thin slices from 1 medium red tomato

  • ½ cup fresh baby spinach

  • 4 strips cooked bacon

  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Spread honey mustard on one side of each slice of bread.

  2. On two slices, layer half a slice of cheddar, 2 slices of turkey, tomato slices, baby spinach, and 2 strips of bacon.

  3. Top with the remaining cheddar and close each sandwich with the other bread slices, mustard side in.

  4. Spread butter on the outer sides of the sandwiches.

  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.

  6. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

Use sharp cheddar for more flavor.

Press the sandwich with a spatula while cooking for a crispier crust.

You can swap honey mustard for Dijon or spicy mustard.

Add avocado for an extra creamy texture.
