Description

These whimsical Carrot Patch Brownies feature a classic, fudgy brownie base topped with chocolate frosting, “dirt” of mini chocolate chips, and playful carrot-shaped icing—perfect for Easter, spring gatherings, or any time you want a festive treat!

Ingredients

Brownies

  • 2 sticks (16 Tbsp) unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 oz chocolate syrup

Decoration

  • 1½ cups mini chocolate chips

  • 1 cup chocolate frosting

  • 1 cup white frosting

  • Orange & green food coloring

  • Green edible grass or green rope candy (for carrot tops)

  • Piping tips #12 (carrot) & #233 (grass)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 °F (163 °C). Line an 8×8″ pan with parchment or foil.

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine butter, sugar, and cocoa. Heat 30 s, stir, then another 30 s. Let cool slightly.

  • Stir in vanilla, salt, then eggs until smooth.

  • Fold in flour, then chocolate syrup.

  • Pour into pan and bake 30–45 min or until set. Cool completely.

  • Frost with chocolate icing, then press on mini chips as “dirt.”

  • Tint white frosting: 10 Tbsp orange, 6 Tbsp green.

  • Pipe 2–3 carrots per brownie using #12 tip, then add grass details with #233 tip.

  • Add candy/grass carrot tops.

Notes

Allow brownies to cool fully before decorating to prevent melting

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3–4 days, or refrigerate up to a week.
