Description
These classic Rice Krispies Treats are a nostalgic favorite, combining gooey marshmallows with crispy rice cereal for a sweet, chewy, and satisfying snack.
Ingredients

¾ cup (170g; 12 Tbsp) unsalted butter

2 bags (10 oz each) mini marshmallows (total 566g; approximately 11 heaping cups)

½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

9 cups (270g) crispy rice cereal
Instructions

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.

Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.

Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.

Add the crispy rice cereal to the marshmallow mixture and stir until well coated.

Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Press down gently with a spatula to evenly distribute.

Allow to cool at room temperature for about 1 hour before cutting into squares.
Notes
For extra gooey treats, use 8 cups of cereal instead of 9.
Add-ins like chocolate chips, peanut butter, or sprinkles can be mixed in before pressing into the pan.
