Description

This Baked Crack Chicken is a creamy, cheesy, and flavorful casserole loaded with tender chicken breasts, crispy bacon, and a blend of herbs and spices. The perfect easy dinner that’s satisfying and packed with bold flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

  • lbs chicken breasts

  • 1 tbsp dried chives

  • 1½ tsp garlic powder

  • 1½ tsp onion powder

  • ¾ tsp dried dill

  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ⅛ tsp salt

  • 1½ tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • ¼ cup water

  • 8 oz cream cheese, cut into cubes

  • 4 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken breasts with chives, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt. Sear chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden but not fully cooked.

  • Transfer chicken to a baking dish.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar and water, then pour evenly over the chicken.

  • Scatter cream cheese cubes over and around the chicken breasts.

  • Top with crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.

  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted and bubbly.

 

  • Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Use full-fat cream cheese for best creaminess.

Adjust crushed red pepper flakes to your preferred heat level.

Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or cauliflower mash for a complete meal.

Leftovers keep well refrigerated for 3 days.
